Dear Neighbors,
Early voting has begun!
I encourage all DeKalb residents to ensure their voices are heard by casting their ballots for the July 31 General Primary, Nonpartisan and Special Election. The polls are now open for early voting at the Voter Registration & Elections' main office, 4380 Memorial Drive in Decatur. Voters wishing to avoid the lines on July 31 have until Friday, July 27 to cast early ballots. The polls will be open 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Earlier this year, we unveiled Georgia's first handicapped-accessible voting booths at the Memorial Drive location, which are designed to accommodate the special needs of seniors and voters with disabilities. I urge our disabled and senior residents to cast their ballots early, utilizing features such as wheelchair access to units on tables, units with audio ballots for the hearing impaired, and additional space to accommodate support apparatus such as walkers and wheelchairs.
Five additional voting locations will also be added for the final week of early voting, July 23 - 27. For details on the additional early voting locations, please visit www.dekalbvotes.com.
I look forward to seeing you at the polls!
Sincerely,

Burrell Ellis
